‘THE GREAT DICTATOR’ – A STELLAR REPRISED PERFORMANCE

Stage Beyond rose to the occasion yet again with a hugely successful reprised performance of ‘The Great Dictator’ in The Studio at the Millennium Forum on October 18th.

A capacity audience attended, comprised of family and friends of company members, Board members and invited guests including groups from learning-disabled support organisations in the city and district. The special matinee performance was organised to enable our company members who, unexpectedly were unable to take part in the main production during the summer due to Covid-19.

It was a particularly proud occasion for both Bernadette Foley (Dr Who) and Susannah McClay (The Interrupter) and their relatives and friends who finally got to see them perform their original key roles in the company’s much-acclaimed adaptation of the Charlie Chaplin film masterpiece which contains an important message for society about inclusion for all.

Stage Beyond wishes to thank everyone once again for all their hard work in staging a stellar reprised performance which also featured music accompanist Mary Curran from the Whistleblast Quartet on French Horn, coinciding with her recent visit to the company.

Huge thanks also to our wonderful audience members from all of the organisations who attended including Sharon Meenan (Arts & Culture) and Caitriona Doherty (Access & Inclusion Project Co-ordinator) from Derry City and Strabane District Council; Destined; New Horizons; The Playtrail; and Engage – Learning Northwest.
